Samsung Galaxy eSIM Support for Turkey
Samsung introduced eSIM capability across its flagship Galaxy devices starting with the Galaxy S20 series in 2020. Today, all modern flagship Galaxy S series (S20 through S25 series), Galaxy Z Fold/Flip series, and selected Galaxy A series (A54 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G) support eSIM in the UK and Europe. Samsung's One UI SIM Manager makes it straightforward to run your UK physical SIM or eSIM alongside a dedicated Turkish data eSIM.
How to Install a Turkey eSIM on Samsung Galaxy
Step-by-step setup walkthrough for Samsung One UI (Android 12, 13, 14 & 15).
Check Carrier Lock Status
Insert a SIM from a different UK network or dial *#7465625# to check Network Lock status. If your Samsung Galaxy was purchased on a contract from EE, Vodafone UK, O2, or Three before late 2021, request a free unlock code from your network.
Open SIM Manager
Connect to Wi-Fi. Open Settings → tap 'Connections' → tap 'SIM manager' → tap 'Add eSIM' (or 'Add mobile plan').
Scan the QR Code
Tap 'Scan QR code from service provider' and point your camera at the QR code sent by your Turkey eSIM provider. Tap 'Add' when your phone detects the profile.
Configure Primary & Data SIMs
In SIM Manager, set 'Calls' and 'Messages' to your Primary UK SIM, and set 'Mobile data' to your newly installed 'Turkey eSIM'. Turn OFF 'Auto data switching'.
Enable Data Roaming Upon Landing
When you arrive in Turkey, go to Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → turn 'Data roaming' ON. Your Galaxy will register on Turkcell or Türk Telekom.
Regional Hardware & Dual SIM Variations
Important device nuances depending on where your Samsung Galaxy was purchased.
UK & European Galaxy Models (Exynos / Snapdragon)
UK models (e.g. SM-S928B for S24 Ultra) feature 2 physical nano-SIM slots + 1 eSIM chip (can use Dual SIM as 2 physical SIMs or 1 physical SIM + 1 eSIM).
US Galaxy Carrier Models (SM-S9xxU)
Single nano-SIM slot + eSIM. Note that Galaxy S20/S21 US carrier variants only received eSIM support via later software updates; ensure your software is updated to the latest One UI build.
Galaxy A Series Considerations
Only select mid-range Galaxy A models (A54 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G) support eSIM. Budget A-series phones (A14, A15, A24, A34) are physical SIM only.

If your Samsung Galaxy model is listed above, you cannot use an eSIM. You'll need a physical SIM card instead — available from Turkish carrier kiosks at major airports and in city centres.
